Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva

Storyline

Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva is an ambitious, visually stunning mythological fantasy epic directed by Ayan Mukerji that establishes Indian cinema's original cinematic universe, the Astraverse, deeply rooted in ancient Indian legends and cosmic philosophy. While the central storyline follows Shiva, a charismatic DJ in Mumbai who discovers his innate immunity to fire and his destiny as the living wielder of the Agnyastra, the movie is anchored by a critically celebrated, show-stopping opening prologue featuring Shah Rukh Khan as Mohan Bhargav—a brilliant scientist, astronomer, and secretive guardian member of the ancient Brahmānsh order. Stationed inside his state-of-the-art research observatory in Delhi, Dr. Bhargav secretly safeguards one of the three shattered fragments of the Brahmāstra, the supreme celestial weapon possessing the destructive power to obliterate the universe. The tranquility of the night is shattered when the sinister emissary of the dark forces, Junoon, and her lethal demonic henchmen breach the sanctuary, demanding the talisman. What follows is a breathtaking, VFX-heavy spectacle of supernatural warfare, as Mohan Bhargav activates the mystical Vanarastra—bestowing upon him the supernatural agility, blinding speed, and crushing physical might of the divine ape. Delivering a masterclass in charismatic action, wry intelligence, and fierce warrior valor, Bhargav valiantly battles the overwhelming dark horde across high-tech scientific apparatus and collapsing glass skylights, holding the line until the last possible second to protect the astral secret. Shah Rukh Khan's electrifying prologue set a monumental benchmark for contemporary Indian fantasy cinema.
