Dilwale

Storyline

Dilwale is a lavish, high-voltage action-romance and comedy entertainer directed by Rohit Shetty, celebrated for reuniting Bollywood’s greatest on-screen romantic pair, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, after five long years. The narrative operates across two distinct timelines, beginning in picturesque modern-day Goa, where Raj works as an unassuming, gentle-hearted car modifier devoted to raising his spirited younger brother, Veer. When Veer falls head-over-heels in love with a charming young woman named Ishita, an innocent romantic gesture inadvertently pulls the brothers into a brutal conflict with local drug cartels, forcing Raj to unleash lethal, combat skills that hint at a dark past. In an emotional flashback to Sofia, Bulgaria, fifteen years earlier, Raj’s real identity is revealed: Kaali, the fearsome adopted son and enforcer of a powerful Indian mob don. During a high-speed vehicle ambush, Kaali saves and falls deeply in love with Meera, unaware that she is the calculating, highly trained daughter of his father’s arch-nemesis, Don Malik. When a treacherous gang summit erupts into crossfire, leaving Malik dead and Kaali falsely accused of murdering Meera’s father, their idyllic love is shattered in a hail of bullets, turning them into sworn enemies. Back in the present, shockwaves ripple as Ishita is revealed to be Meera’s younger sister. Filled with Rohit Shetty’s signature airborne car stunts, exotic foreign landscapes, comedic brilliance from Johnny Lever and Sanjay Mishra, and Pritam's chart-topping musical tracks like 'Gerua' and 'Janam Janam', Dilwale is an exhilarating, operatic celebration of enduring love, family loyalty, and reconciliation.
